Press release : New XXImo app: Milo, personal assistant for planning and paying for corporate mobility

10 March 2017

Den Bosch, the Netherlands, 10 March 2017 – XXImo – the innovative supplier of an all-in-one mobility card for refueling, public transport, parking and more – launches the personal Plan & Pay assistant Milo. Milo is an intelligent app that provides users with continuous up-to-date traveling advice based on their agenda, the traffic situation and user preferences. The app offers the best routes and transportation option, taking into account any up-to-date delays and diversions.

Milo helps users to travel efficiently by making optimal use of the various transportation options. When the app discovers a traffic jam, it’ll suggest to leave earlier or to choose a different means of transportation. If required, the app can also take into account a company policy to select the most durable transportation option, instead of the fastest option. The app is available for XXImo card holders in the German, Belgian and Dutch market, and can be used throughout Europe.

The app allows users complete control. They decide which Milo functionalities and messages are relevant, and which anonymous data the app can access. This means the user’s privacy is guaranteed.

Milo is a multilingual, international app that adjusts to the user’s profile, no matter which country they’re in. This means the app is available for expats and compatible with use abroad. In addition, the app offers different mobile payment options per country, such as UBER, eCab, NMBS, MyTaxi and mobile parking payment. De Lijn M-Tickets (public transportation in Flanders) will soon be available via the app as well.

Thanks to the collaboration between XXImo and Parkmobile in the Netherlands, Germany and Belgium, public road parking can also be paid for using Milo.

“Mobile parking and continuous up-to-date trip information in one app makes the lives of our customers easier. The Milo introduction is the beginning of the transition from card payments to app payments. I’m proud of the developers that have delivered this amazing work,” said Patrick Bunnik, CEO at XXImo.

Milo is available for all Mobility Card holders with the XXImo logos, including the Alphabet, Athlon and LeasePlan (Belgium) cards.
